Philippe Genty¹s Dérives dazzled audiences during the 1991 New York International Festival of the Arts. Using tricks of perspective, optical illusions, and puppets of all sizes, Philippe Genty¹s company of five creates a lyrical and disturbing dream-world. The themes are universal, the ideas are thought-provoking, the techniques of puppetry, dance, and mime are both entertaining and spectacular.
