GREEN APPLE PUPPET THEATRE, Finland¹s oldest professional puppet theatre was founded in 1971. The company is based in Helsinki and tours regularly in Finland and Sweden. Since its inception, Green Apple has made works for children, although in recent years, the company has focused attention on plays that would speak to adults as well. Artistic Director Sirppa Sivori-Asp is one of the founding members of the troupe and is also the principal actor. She studied at the Playhouse school of Theatre in Pittsburgh in the late 1940s and worked in Finnish television, producing children¹s programs for 31 years, beginning in 1959.
