PENNY JONES & CO specializes in informal puppet shows for children, and puppet ballets. The company has performed locally at the City Center, the Museum of the City of New York, The Childrenıs Museum of New York, Greenwich House Music School, Damrosch Park, and the Washington Square Music Festival, as well as the Wildcliff Museum in New Rochelle, the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers and the Emelin Theatre in Mamaroneck. Her puppets were commissioned by David Hockney for the Metropolitan Operaıs Parade, and by Carol Channing for Peter and the Wolf. She has written and produced seven puppet ballets and 14 original puppet plays, seven of which are designed to be created and produced by school classes. Currently Pennyıs creating and performing work is being sandwiched around a second career as head teacher and puppetry consultant on the nursery school circuit.
