JON LUDWIG is an Associate
Artistic Director for The Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, Georgia.
He holds a bachelors degree in Theater from Columbia College, Chicago
and has been a puppeteer for fifteen years. He has been acting and directing
for the past nine years. He co-directed the Centeršs Xperimental Puppetry
Theater (XPT) from 1981 to 1986, and directed it from 1986 to 1988. He
has created, directed, and performed shows for adult audiences, including
Visions of St. Lucy, Beatnik Monsters From Outer Space, the critically
acclaimed Circue Pataphysique, and the Heaven and Hell Tour, which was
awarded the UNIMA Citation of Excellence Award in 1991. Ludwig attracted
the attention of Pat Robertson in 1990 for his adult show Zietgiest, performed
as part of the Arts Festival Atlanta. Robertson ignited a controversy
that grew nationwide.
