Epic Large and fantastic shadow puppets shimmer across the stage. Two on-stage drummers pound out an infectious and emotional beat as dancers swirl and leap. An ancient African legend is told and sung in a mixture of three African dialects and French. It is a story of perseverance, hardship and miracles, about a crippled prince who becomes the greatest king on earth. Children will love its exotic sweep. Lovers of percussion will want to see this show just for its remarkable rhythms. A great family work for kids 7 and up.
