Eric Bass is widely known for an artistry that is simply inspired and a directing style that seamlessly integrates actors and puppets. Here, in his largest ensemble production ever, Bass creates a fresh and moving interpretation of one of Bertolt Brecht's most popular plays--a parable about ownership and belonging epitomized by a custody battle between a medieval governor's wife and a servant girl.
