Director Lee Breuer conjures up a poetic and poignant interpretation of J.M. Barrie's 1911 classic novel about the loss of childhood--that moment when, for the first time, we distinguish between make-believe and reality. Shadow and bunraku-style puppets inhabit a set make of origami-style paper pop-ups. The beautifully articulated narrative and action are accompanied by an original score by Scottish traditional composer, Johnny Cunningham.
