PUMPERNICKEL PUPPETS was started by John McDonough who decided he wanted to be a puppeteer at the age of 4. Now he presents 250 shows a year and was featured at The Puppet Showplace, Boston Children¹s Museum, Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, institute of Professional Puppetry, Smithsonian, and the Festival of African American Puppetry co-sponsored by the Atlanta Committee for Olympic Games¹ Cultural Olympiad. Mr. McDonough creates his own puppets, which are small hand puppets from eighteen inches to life size. He provides the voices and manipulates his entire cast alone.
