Terra Prenyada, or "pregnant earth," is an improvisational piece inspired by visits to the Australian desert, the city of St. Petersburg and the ruins of Sarajevo. Using ashes from a burned city library, Catalan artist Joan Baixas, accompanied by the vocal talents of Paca Rodrigue, paints imagery that is both beautiful and haunting.
