Founded in 1631, this traditional marionette theater is one of Japanšs oldest and most revered. Its utterly unique form of puppetry employs actors, marionettes, musicians, and preserves a repertoire shared by Kabuki and other traditions. For Festival š98, Youki-Za presents the Lion Dance and two timeless classics a comic tale of a man trying to catch a wife, and the tender story of a motheršs love for her child.
